#Bad bleep stickers series#
As a result it becomes who wants the strongest sticker as opposed to being strategic-yes PM series has never been a deeply strategic rpg but one thats enough. Theres no simple “just attack / defend / skip turn” so, if you’re out of stickers-you’re out. It removed the insinuative to do battle, whether its trying to be an RPG or an Action game, if there are things added to something without a solid reward it feels empty and pointless. But I too am someone who dislikes sticker stars for s few reasons. Its nice to see someone who likes it in all the waves of hate. I do want to ask (why) do you like it? Can you compare it to other PM games, Mario/Nintrndo games, or RPGs? I can honestly say there was one thing I kind of enjoyed about Sticker Star and it was the Sticker Museum but despite that the rest of the game isn't really enjoyable at all and I haven't played it since I first bought it. That's cool if you like the game but the majority of people didn't. Lol Just because a few people CAN enjoy the game doesn't mean that people can't express their criticisms about the game.

Stop wasting energy despising something that CAN be enjoyed. If they want to completely change what Paper Mario is then yeah that is up to them but we get to tell them our displeasure for changing something that was so great into something that is now disappointing and mediocre. It's up to Nintendo to dictate what Paper Mario is and when they made CS and SS, they mixed it up.Īnd it's up to us fans to decide whether they made the right decisions or not. That's not acceptable at all and although the gameplay stayed the same, what they produced for us has a lot of problems that we cannot appreciate at all. So even if what they produce is bad we should just blindly appreciate what they've given us? Not very good logic at all, just take a look at Pokemon SV. Oh believe me with how bad the newer games are is not going to prevent us from still enjoying the old ones.Īppreciate what the company decides to produce. You can like it if you want, but you can't just pretend that the people who don't like it are wrong. Sticker Star was marketed at the return of Paper Mario, and it dissapointed everyone with bland story, annoying mechanics, and a terrible battle system. Paper Mario has always been a story based, turn based rpg series, the only exception being Super Paper Mario, which plays differently, but still holds a lot of the series' standards in storytelling and was meant to release on the Gamecube as a sort of spinoff. Sticker Star is an entry in the Paper Mario series that not only went against the established nature of the series, but also set a precedent that effectively ruined the series for many people. If I wanted to play another Mario platformer, I had options.

Super Mario World is a 2D platformer, and an installment in the Super Mario 2D platforming series, whereas Super Mario RPG is an rpg, a completely different genre, and started the Mario RPGs, with Paper Mario and Mario and Luigi succeeding it. The uphill ice luge is also part of World 4, so again, better than most stages, but it's still not that creative. The Ski Lift stage is part of World 4, which is the best part of the game, so it is better than most stages, but trying to time your swings is not easy. The fact that like the game and you don't even remember the stage yourself just proves that this game also has forgettable levels. Jungle Rapids is.good the first time.m, but after you learn the Cheep Chomps patterns, it's whatever. I literally do not remember anything about that level, other than there being an oasis, and I don't think you'll find many people who do. Goomba Fortress is a fine level, but nothing special. And who, other than you and OP, actually likes that level? A perfect example of a stage that people remember, but not for a good reason.

That's an exception.īafflewoods is just choose a path, hope it's correct. The Enigmansion is the best level in the game.
